Welcome to the SOH Radio network, a proud sponsor of Shen Yun Performing Arts. My name is Jason Wegener and today we’ll be looking at the latest performance by the Shen Yun Touring Company in Jacksonville, Florida on Saturday January the 30th. We spoke with some of the audience after the show to find out what they thought of their Shen Yun experience. First up we hear from state representative Charles McBurney on his remarks.
It was to say the least was a fabulous beautiful program, give you such appreciation for the Chinese culture, and the Chinese Americans when are here, there’s strong and vibrant Asian community here in Jacksonville, I want to welcome the performers what a fabulous job that they, you know the art placed such an important role, my wife Debra over there is a music teacher and from her I learn how important it is to be able to communicate a message through the art and particularly through music, and this program certainly has, one of the great message that I think we can take from this program is how we can’t take our freedoms for granted, particularly the freedom of speech, the freedom of press, the freedom for religion, something that we can never forget, keep in mind and must always be vigilant, so again I want to say I’m honour to be here, honour to be a part of this, honour to greet such a fabulous program, and hope you will come back next year, you said you would, I’m counting on it, I’m counting on it, thank you very much.
