Canadian PM wishes success for the 2009 Divine Performing Arts world tour
On behalf of the Canadian government, Prime Minister Stephen Harper recently sent out a greeting letter to wish the New York based company, Divine Performing Arts’ 2009 world tour success.
Mr. Harper stated: ‘I am pleased to extend my warmest greetings to everyone attending the Divine Performing Arts 2009 world tour.’
‘Tonight’s event is a celebration of Chinese Heritage, and the rich customs and classic tales that go with it. I am certain that the intricate costumes, brilliant choreography and outstanding musical compositions that you will be treated to this evening will be a wonderful reflection of the beauty and grandeur of 5,000 years of traditional Chinese culture.’
Mr. Harper went on to say, ‘On behalf of the Government of Canada, please accept my best wishes for a memorable performance.’
Since Mr. Harper have been elected as the Prime Minister in 2006, he has sent consecutive greetings to the Divine Performing Arts for five years.
On December 19, three troupes of the Divine Performing Arts, the New York Company, International Company, and Touring Company began the 2009 world tour in Philadelphia, Fort Lauderdale, and Atlanta.
