New York Senator says, “Compassion is a gift that keeps on giving”
Welcome to the Sound Of Hope Radio network, my name is Daniel Teng and in this program we will be covering the Divine Performing Arts in Brooklyn New York at the Howard Gilman Opera House on Sunday the 4th January.
The Divine Performing Arts have, as of January 8th, completed tours in Kitchener-Waterloo and is still touring San Francisco and Toronto. Attending the afternoon performance in Brooklyn was Senator Eric Adams of New York’s 20th Senate District in Brooklyn.
Senator Adams had many good things to say about the Divine Performing Arts.
Most of the performers in the Divine Performing Arts are practitioners of the spiritual discipline Falun Gong. Falun Gong abides by three tenets, Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. Subsequently, many of these themes would feature prominently in the dance performances. Further, Mr Adams stated that the promotion of these themes and the re-emergence of Chinese culture walk hand in hand.
Producing the Divine Performing Arts requires meticulous effort and the dance performances much preparation. Mr Adams recognises the excellent synergy of music and dance in the show and sees the educational value of the production.
Lastly, Senator Adams had one last message for Chinese people around the world.
The three companies of the Divine Performing Arts are scheduled to tour three further locations: Toronto Canada’s John Bassett Theatre and the Toronto Convention Centre from the 8th – 14th; San Francisco’s War Memorial Opera House from the 7th – 11th January; and Boston’s Boston Opera House from the 10th – 11th January.
