That Two-Stringed Chinese Erhu Stirs The Soul
Welcome to the Sound Of Hope Radio network, This is Catherine Hennessy and in this program we will be covering the Divine Performing Arts in Washington DC at Kennedy Center Opera House during 11th and 15th of February 2009.
The Divine Performing Arts shows at Washington DC are presented by Falun Dafa Association of Washington DC in conjunction with New Tang Dynasty Television in DC.
Attending the Washington DC Sunday Matinee performance were Karina and Shisen Koya. Both Karina and Shisen enjoyed the ‘Welcoming Spring’ for its colorful Fan flower pattern, ‘The Monkey King Triumphs’ for its sketches of the stories collaborated with animated backdrop. Besides the live orchestration intertwined Chinese instruments with Western instruments gives charming melodies, they both surprised by the two-stringed Chinese erhu.
We’ll now listen to Karina and Shisen’s feelings and insights about the show.
Currently, the three companies of Divine Performing Arts are touring 80 cities in the globe for the season of 2008 and 2009. The cities other than in the United States are Paris France, London United Kingdom, Aarhus Denmark, Oslo Norway, Stockholm and Linkopin Sweden, Berlin Germany, Jakarta Indonesia, Lodz Poland, Canberra Australia. and finally, 5 cities in Taiwan they are Taipei, Hsinchu, Taichung, Chia-yi, and Kaohsiung.
