Shen Yun Arrives in Honolulu
Land of Sunshine, surfing, waves, beaches, volcanos, pineapples and those macadamia nuts. Hawaii is much more than that. Millions of people visit Hawaii every year.
Actually, the people in Hawaii live on the peaks of a long string of mountains on the ocean floor. Our current United States President Barack Obama was born here. I was surprised to learn that the Hawaiian alphabet only has 12 letters. Alot people, like myself, probably thought, ‘That’s for me.” Well, it is a beautiful place, I hear tell.
Still Shen Yun will take their audiences to a different place. An inspiring place, where they can appreciate a taste of the cultures and values of an older China. Thomas Calwell and Linda Yashimora were in tonight’s audience. Let’s listen.
Honolulu means ‘place of shelter’ in the Hawaiian language. Mahalo or thank you. This is Corinne Malaske bringing you Shen Yun coverage from SOH RAdio Network.
