“Honour to greet such a fabulous programme” – Charles McBurney

Welcome to the SOH Radio network, a proud sponsor of Shen Yun Performing Arts. My name is Jason Wegener and today we’ll be looking at the latest performance by the Shen Yun Touring Company in Jacksonville, Florida on Saturday January the 30th.
We spoke with some of the audience after the show to find out what they thought of their Shen Yun experience. First up we hear from state representative Charles McBurney on his remarks.
Charles: It was, to say the least, was a fabulous beautiful program, give you such appreciation for the Chinese culture, and the Chinese Americans when are here, there’s strong and vibrant Asian community here in Jacksonville, I want to welcome the performers what a fabulous job that they, you know the art placed such an important role, my wife Debra over there is a music teacher and from her I learn how important it is to be able to communicate a message through the art and particularly through music, and this program certainly has, one of the great message that I think we can take from this program is how we can’t take our freedoms for granted, particularly the freedom of speech, the freedom of press, the freedom for religion, something that we can never forget, keep in mind and must always be vigilant, so again I want to say I’m honour to be here, honour to be a part of this, honour to greet such a fabulous programme, and hope you will come back next year, you said you would, I’m counting on it, I’m counting on it, thank you very much.
We also had the opportunity to catch up with his wife Debra and this is what she had to say!
Debra: Yes, I thought the show was wonderful, the visual aspect of it, were so beautiful, it really seem a times is like watching like imagine meditation appear to be, really just took me away to another world, I love it, love it, the dancing the music, the use of original instrument pear with western instrument was absolutely stunning, so I love it, oh the choreography was astonishing, I mean it was so smooth, I mean at times the dancer seem to appear to be floating, I it was just wonderful, and the aspect of the ribbons all that stuff all the colours, was so I don’t know just transfixing it was wonderful, the colour were brilliant just brilliant, I love them, I mean it was just like watching flower in the spring times, I mean it was just sensational, I mean I can’t think of anything else to say because it was just so wonderful and beautiful.
And finally a few words from Snow Wallace on her thoughts of the show.
Really all of it, truly you know I’ve been to a lot of broad way shows and seen a lot of different performances and the way the dancer’s performance is unison and just the discipline and everything else. I mean it is truly beautiful presentation. It is very nice.
Thank you for joining us once again for this special coverage of the Shen Yun Performing Arts tour; I’m Jason Wegener for the SOH Radio Network.
