Welcome to the SOH Radio network, a proud sponsor of Shen Yun Performing Arts.  My name is Jason Wegener and in this update, we’ll be looking at the latest performance by the Shen Yun Touring Company in Dallas on Saturday the 6th of February.

We caught up with Dan Berlin, formerly CBS radio and voice of America presenter during the intermission and this is what he had say half way through his Shen Yun experience.

Berlin: It’s very entertaining and very lively, full of colors, I didn’t realize at first this was a performance that would probably wasn’t sponsor by the Chinese government, because a little bit of political, about the Tibetan and the freedom to believe what you want to believe, but, just incredible, I didn’t think I would like this, you know, he kind of drag me, my friend kind of drag me but I’m enjoying it quite a bit.

Reporter: Could you introduce yourself a little bit?

I’m Dan Berlin, from Dallas, TX, formerly CBS radio, voice of America, so I’m aware of the political situation in China, and how China is evolving as world power house, and to see the culture aspect of it, I think it’s incredible, I’m really enjoying these all the coloring, all the colors and dancing and I especially enjoy the one, it’s a multi-media presentation which I was expecting, but the angels coming down and then the dancers on the stage and then the angels going back into the sky, it’s very enjoyable.

Reporter: what did you work on for the Voice of America, what aspect?

Berlin: I mean I work in the English Service, you know, it was back in the Regan administration, so the mission of the Voice of America was much different back then, China wasn’t the political and economical power back during the Regan Administration, that it is now. But you know I think the most important thing this is not something I would have gone to on my own, it’s super bowl weekend, you know, this is not a culture thing probably I wouldn’t gone myself, my friend took me and I’m glad he did, because I was thinking… Oh man, this is going to be boring, going to sit here and watch these people dance but I’m really enjoying myself, I’m enjoying the music and the dancing and I’m really amazed by it.

So there you have it, even worth seeing on Super Bowl weekend.  Don’t miss your opportunity to see this amazing performance.  Go to the website: www.shenyunperformingarts.org for more information on their up and coming performances.

Thank you for joining this special coverage of the Shen Yun Performing Arts; I’m Jason Wegener for the SOH Radio Network.
