Ambassador Raul Gangotena, Canberra's Ambassador for Ecuador enjoys Shen Yun's premiere performance at the Canberra Theatre. Ambassador Gangotena expressed that Shen Yun is 'a great level of art at its best.'

Australia’s national capital, wholeheartedly greets Shen Yun New York Company on Friday evening 21st May, for the first of its four performances at the Canberra Theatre, Canberra City.  Hi, this is Grace Mann from the SOH Radio Network bringing you the next Shen Yun update report from this performance.

Shen Yun New York Company is one of the three Shen Yun Performing Arts Companies touring the world simultaneously in their 2010 Global Tour.

Shen Yun with its live orchestra presents classical Chinese dance and music in every gloriously colourful and exhilarating performance.

State-of-the-art backdrops transports you to scenes beyond your imagination, while groundbreaking music combines the best of both Chinese and Western composition.

Each song and dance in a Shen Yun show is newly created for every year’s global tour, immersing theatregoers into a world of extraordinary beauty, spirit and majesty.

Our SOH reporter was fortunate to speak with Canberra’s Ambassador for Ecuador, Mr Raul Gangotena.  Ambassador Gangotena was very impressed with the Shen Yun performance.    [audio]

Project Manager with Canberra’s Australian Government Department of Health, Mr John Connors also enjoyed his evening at this premiere show,  was pleasantly surprised, and felt the show was very different.   [audio]

Upcoming global Shen Yun performances will be in Instanbul, Turkey on Friday and Saturday 21st and 22nd May, with US city Newark, NJ, welcoming Shen Yun on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd May.  Canberra will continue to host performances until Sunday 23rd May, and Australia’s next city to host Shen Yun shows will be the Victorian capital Melbourne, from Tuesday 25th May – Sunday 30th May.
